Security - Netatmo Smart Outdoor Video Camera with built-In Siren

The Outdoor Video Camera provides very effective monitoring. It monitors the outside of the home day and night, thanks to night infrared vision with a detection range of up to 15 metres and a 100° field of view. When the Video Camera detects movement, it can determine whether it is a person, a vehicle, an animal, or just trees moved by the wind. For people, vehicles or animals, the Video Camera records a video in Full HD 1080p and, taking advantage of Wi-Fi connection, sends a notification directly to your smartphone via the Home + Security App. The mobile App provides access to all videos and live streams of the Outdoor Video Camera.

The top section of the video camera is a 12 W low-power LED spotlight (equivalent to a 120 W halogen spotlight). The spotlight can be set to turn on only when the video camera detects something specific, based on the preferences indicated by the user. By default, the spotlight only turns on if the video camera detects people or vehicles, and remains off in all other cases, even if it detects the movement of an animal.
The light can also be switched on using the App.

Thanks to precise motion detection and night infrared vision, the Outdoor Video Camera sends notifications to the user day and night in the following cases: 

• A person is detected: the Video Camera has detected one or more persons.
• A vehicle is detected: the Video Camera has detected one or more vehicles.
• An animal is detected: the Video Camera has detected one or more animals.
• A movement is detected: the Video Camera has detected a movement of something other than the above three
• Video camera connected: the Video Camera is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
• Video camera disconnected: the Video Camera is no longer connected to the Wi-Fi network or is no longer powered.
• Monitoring interrupted: the Video Camera is no longer monitoring the area. Note that the automatic switching on of the spotlight is no longer possible.
• Monitoring reactivated: the Video Camera has resumed monitoring the area.

Yes, simply open the App menu. For each type of element detected by the Video Camera (people, vehicles, animals, other movements), it is possible to choose whether to:

• record a video and send a notification;
• just record a video;
• ignore the event.

Alert-Zones tell your video camera to only pay attention to specific areas. This is a great way to only get the notifications that you think you need.

When there is no Internet connection, you will receive a notification. As long as powered, the Video Camera works and records videos, but it cannot send them to the App without Internet connection. It will add new videos to the App once the Internet connection is restored.

The average power consumption during the day is 5W. At night, with the smart spotlight on, the power consumption is 15W.
