The new version of the Home + Security App is available for all major operating systems (Android and iOS). It aims to help users manage their homes with a higher level of control and security, even remotely.
With the Home + Security App, you can monitor all the security-related functions of your home, including answering calls in and out of your home, opening electric door locks without a remote control, and receiving notifications when smoke or carbon monoxide is detected. The new user interface, now completely redesigned, makes using the App more intuitive and provides quicker access to various functions. The new screen provides access to three main areas: the Dashboard, Feed and Settings. The Dashboard provides a general overview of activity in the home with the ability to interact directly with devices. The Feed has been revamped to easily keep track of past events and to replay their contents. Finally, from Settings, it is possible to add devices or change notification preferences.
Another new feature is the updated “Profiles” section. Thanks to the integrated use of Netatmo smart indoor cameras, it is possible to get a more accurate and immediate overview of the people who are currently in the house: faces can be recognized directly by the system by creating individual profiles that are stored by the App.
In the “My Home” section under “Cameras,” it is now possible to simultaneously view images played back by at least two devices, including indoor cameras, outdoor cameras, and the smart doorbell with built-in camera. In addition, several actions are possible for each camera: turning monitoring on or off, recording movement only in case of intrusion (respecting the privacy of the family), turning lighting on and off, and more.
Finally, the functionality of opening the electrical door lock has been redesigned through a larger and more intuitive slider. All video door entry functions such as camera activation, favorites and intercom are now grouped together and available on the home page. This is enabled by the integration of Classe 300EOS, Classe 100X or EaskyKit wih Netatmo video door entry systems.
