FAQ
My Wi-Fi network does not appear in the list of suggested networks.
The Digital Controls app shows 10 Wi-Fi networks. If your Wi-Fi network is not displayed, try refreshing the list by scrolling down the Wi-Fi network page. The Alexa Voice Control cannot access the internet from a public Wi-Fi network (hotspot) or a corporate Wi-Fi network, so these networks are not suggested. If your personal Wi-Fi network does not appear in the list of suggested Wi-Fi networks, first check that your smartphone is within the Wi-Fi network's coverage range and move closer to the router if necessary. If your Wi-Fi network still does not appear in the list of available networks, it is probably hidden: manually enter the SSID (name) of your network.
What type of Wi-Fi networks can the Alexa Voice Control be configured with?
The Alexa Voice Control can only be configured with a personal 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that does not filter ports. It is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi standards if the network security settings are configured as WEP, WPA, or WPA2 Personal.
I changed my internet router code, or I changed the router. How do I reconfigure my Wi-Fi with my Alexa Voice Control?
To reconfigure your system's Wi-Fi, you will need to reset your Alexa Voice Control from the Digital Controls App. Also, remember to delete the Alexa Voice Control from the Alexa App in the list of devices.
My Alexa Voice Control does not connect to the internet. What should I do?
If the Alexa Voice Control does not connect to the internet: Turn off the Alexa Voice Control from the main switch, then turn it back on and restart your internet/Wi-Fi router. If the problem persists, and if you have manually configured your router, it may be that the router configuration is blocking the connection to the Alexa Voice Control. In this case, follow the instructions in your router's manual:
Step 1: In the internet browser on your computer, type the local address of the router in the following format http://192.168.x.x (e.g., http://192.168.1.1). This is indicated in the router manual.
Step 2: Sometimes a username and password may be required. For most routers, they are "admin" and "admin". Otherwise, check the manual.
Step 3: You can then access the configuration interface of your router.
Step 4: If you have set up a parental control function, make sure you have authorized the Alexa Voice Control. To do this, check that the MAC address (see: Where can I find the MAC address of the Alexa Voice Control?) is included in the list of authorized devices.
Step 5: If your router has a standby function, disable it.

If you still cannot reconnect, follow these steps:
Step 1: First, try to assign a fixed IP address to the Alexa Voice Control by indicating the MAC address (How do I find the MAC address or serial number of my product?). If you have an Android smartphone, you can also assign a fixed IP to the smartphone. If necessary, there are tutorials that can help you perform this configuration: in your browser, type the brand and model of your router (e.g., Orange livebox). Then write in the browser "Static IP for MAC address".
Step 2: At this point, you can check the Wi-Fi frequency band used by your router. The Alexa Voice Control does not work with the 5 GHz frequency. Make sure the 2.4 GHz mode is activated.
Step 3: If the Wi-Fi channel has been manually changed, it may no longer be the optimal connection to use. Check that the "automatic Wi-Fi channel selection" mode is activated.
Step 4: Finally, if your network has one or more Wi-Fi repeaters, make sure each of these Wi-Fi access points has a different name (or SSID) and that the Alexa Voice Control / Alexa Voice Control socket control connects to the one with the strongest signal.
How many Alexa Voice Controls can I manage with my account?
You can manage as many Alexa Voice Controls as you want with your account.
How do I update my mobile app?
Depending on your smartphone settings, the app update can happen automatically or it may need to be done manually from Google Play and the App Store.
How are connected products updated to access the latest features?
The update download happens automatically as long as the system is connected to the internet (a notification will remind you to start the installation).
I have a second home. Can I have multiple Alexa Voice Controls in different homes?
The Digital Controls App can manage multiple homes and multiple Alexa Voice Controls.
How can I report a problem with my device?
Go to the help menu in your app --> Hamburger menu --> Help --> Send LOG, select which Alexa Voice Control you want to send data for, and enter a description of the problem --> Press finish.
How do I disassociate my Alexa Voice Control from my Alexa account?
To disassociate your Alexa Voice Control, you will need to reset your Alexa Voice Control from the Digital Controls App. Also, remember to delete the Alexa Voice Control from the Alexa App in the device list.
How is the privacy of my voice recordings protected?
The Alexa Voice Control waits to "hear" a keyword (e.g., "Alexa") that triggers active recording by the device. If no keyword is detected, the device continues to record sessions of a few seconds in a continuous loop. All this happens locally on the device and nothing is sent to Bticino or third parties. Only if the keyword is detected does the device start recording and sending audio to Amazon. Data management (Privacy) is governed by the conditions on the Amazon.com website. Therefore, no processing of voice recordings is carried out by BTicino.
How do I change the name of my Alexa Voice Command?
Select the desired Voice Command on the app's homepage, tap "Change device name," and type the new name.
Can I delete the Digital Controls App after using it to install the Alexa Voice Control?
No, you need to keep the app installed to continue receiving device updates.
How do I add an Alexa Voice Control to my existing system?
Check with your installer to ensure you have enough space and power, then, after installing it, follow the wizard within the Digital Controls App.
How do I configure my Alexa Voice Command?
You can interact with the Alexa Voice Command through the free Digital Controls app. To do this, download the app from the store and follow the app's steps:
o Log in with your Legrand/Bticino account or create a new one
o Select the home you want to add the Alexa Voice Command to or create a new home
